DUTIES:
Review patient records and radiation calculations. Perform complex dosimetry measurements and calculations and assemble dosimetry data required by treatment planning system. Verify the accuracy and integrity of dosimetry data. Perform quality assurance and calibrations on medical linear accelerators. Design and/or review patient treatments plans for radiation therapy to include IMRT, SRS, SBRT, and brachytherapy. Provide training and support for dosimetry staff. Complete weekly chart checks. Provide ongoing physics support for all technical and medical staff.
REQUIREMENTS:
Master’s Degree in Medical Physics, Physics, or a closely related scientific field. Knowledge and experience of the Varian platform (TrueBeam series preferred); knowledge and experience with the Eclipse treatment planning system preferred; knowledge and experience of the Aria EMR platform required. Knowledge of CyberKnife accelerator/planning a plus. Board Eligible or Certified by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Medical Physics required. Must be willing to work in Fayetteville, NC.
